About our copy editing (a process-method)
To enable microstructural changes to paragraphs and sentences, we apply a process-method that enables us to address syntax & semantics, orthography, and readability elements (we refer to this as SSORE).
Specifically, orthographic elements include spelling, capitalization, word breaks, emphasis (mainly italics in manuscripts) and punctuation (we refer to this also as SCWEP). We address these elements via analysis/review of any given grammatical constituent.
This process-method involves highlighting grammatical forms (whole words or linguistic units such as morphemes, phonemes, orthographic elements such as punctuation, etc.). These include morphological structures, syntactic structures and orthographic structures. Then the user searches for specific patterns for study/review and addresses any usage issues identified in a Microsoft (MS) Word document, i.e. manuscript.
